Concurrent Enrollment at ERA

What is Concurrent Enrollment:

Eagle Ridge Academy offers nearly 20 College Credits to our students at no cost to our families. All credits are guaranteed transferable to all universities and colleges in the state Colorado allowing students to get a head start on their college careers. ERA has partnered with Front Range Community College to offer our students college credit while they are still in high school, on the ERA campus.

Eagle Ridge Academy is recognized as an accredited location for Front Range Community College. Through this partnership and the “College Now” program, students have the opportunity to take more than 30 credits toward an Associate of Arts degree. These classes are offered at the high school site either by Front Range Community College instructors who travel to the high school, or by qualified high school instructors who teach college-level courses. Students receive high school and college credit for the courses taken, and the high school pays the students’ tuition for approved courses. For more information about Front Range Community College classes and academic programs, students are encouraged to check out www.frontrange.edu.

How we do it:

HB 09-1319 and SB09-285
The Concurrent Enrollment Programs Act of 2009

Creating pathways between high schools and institutions of higher education is essential to fulfill the Colorado Promise of doubling the number of postsecondary degrees earned by Coloradoans and reducing by half the number of students who drop out of high school in the state. "Concurrent enrollment" means a student is simultaneously enrolled in a local education provider and in an institute of higher education or career and technical courses.
