Hello! I'm Mr. Peters. I was born in Mesa, Arizona, but have also moved to and lived in Washington, Idaho, and Oregon. The Portland area in Oregon holds lots of sentimental value for me because I went to high school there and fell in love with the rainy weather! I moved to Colorado in 2011 to study geophysics at Colorado School of Mines, and then later decided to return to Mines in 2018 to study computer science as a graduate student. During my journey as a graduate student, I found work as a math instructor at a Mathnasium center and taught math to kids with a unique approach for 3 years. During that time, I made the decision to begin working towards a credential in secondary math instruction through the Public Education and Business Coalition and just completed their teacher residency program at Stuart Middle School last school year. I’m look forward to teaching at Eagle Ridge Academy!
