Hoops for Hearts Spirit Week November 13 - November 17

Eagle Ridge Academy and the Hoops for Heart event, partnered with the American Heart Association, will be donating all proceeds to AHA. Also in return, our school will receive funds for more equipment for students to be active! During the kick off week and event, we will be honoring one of our own warriors as a heart hero. G. Davis, senior at ERA, has a connection with AHA and would love to open up her story for discussion and awareness. Her story will be on flyers given at the event.

Here is a brief overview of how the week looks as well as the event on Friday!

Spirit Week:

Monday- Wear Hearts Day
Tuesday- Dynamic Sports Duo
Wednesday- Jersey Day
Thursday- Throwback P.E. Day
Friday- Wear Red Day

Eagle Ridge Academy Midnight Madness Hoops for Heart Event
-Activities beginning at 8:00P.M. and ending at 12:30A.M.
Open to all ERA students, staff, and families!
-$5 donation entry
-Prize giveaways each hour!

Hourly Events in Gym:
8:00PM- Knockout Tournament
9:00PM- Throwback P.E. Games
10:00PM- Dodgeball Tournament
11:00PM- Futbol/Soccer Tournament
12:00AM-12:30AM- Midnight Madness Basketball Tournament

Events in Cafeteria:
8:00PM-11:30PM- Heart Healthy food and recipes, nutrition facts, and Heart Healthy trivia

Events in Commons/Hallways:
8:00PM-12:00AM- Various Healthy activities-hula hoops, jump ropes, donation collection, yoga, relay races, etc. (clubs may sign up to host these activities!)

Come support! $5 recommended donation for entry. Give $$ to Ms. Hamilton.

Chili Cook-Off November 10th & 11th

ERA is hosting a Chili Cook-off on November 10th and 11th to support Drama and Spirit Clubs. It will take place during the school play, Calamity Jane. Spaces are limited!

Do you know an 8th grade student or their family? Are they interested in learning more about ERA? Do they want to understand our mission, meet our teachers, and learn about our STEM focus, academics, athletics, clubs and more? Encourage them to join us from 6-8:30 pm on Thursday, November 2, 2017, at Info/Expo Night to learn more. We look forward to meeting them!

Back to School Night Thursday 8/24/17 at 6:00 p.m.

Back to School Night is Thursday, August 24th, at 6:00 pm. We will start the evening with a session to review the agenda and share new graduation requirements with families, followed by a session in both English and Spanish on attendance and Infinite Campus access. Beginning at 6:45, parents will follow their students’ schedules and visit classes for 7 minutes, during which time teachers will give them information about their class. Individual parent/teacher conferences will occur on September 13th and 14th. You will soon have the opportunity to make appointments for conferences on the school website. All staff and faculty will be here that evening, and there will be refreshments provided by Warrior Alliance.

We look forward to seeing you Thursday!
