Biography

Hello! My name is Tristan Johnson. This semester, I teach Computer Science Principles A, Video Game Design, Robotics, and Online Applications here at Eagle Ridge Academy. I also sponsor the robotics club. Before joining the ERA community, I spent 13 years teaching high school computer science, economics, and social studies at an international school abroad. My educational background includes a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Economics from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering from Arizona State University.

In my classes and robotics club, my goal is to give students practical, hands-on experience with technology. We cover core programming principles, web development, and robotics engineering, focusing on clear problem-solving and building functional projects from the ground up. I’m excited to work with our students this year to help them build useful technical skills, understand how modern software and hardware work, and explore their interests in STEM.
