Biography

Hello! My name is Mr. Ricky Waggoner, and I joined Eagle Ridge Academy in 2025 as an English teacher. This is actually my first teaching position, having graduated from Colorado State University in 2024 with a degree in English Education. Education is my passion, and I am delighted to start my career at Eagle Ridge!

I grew up in Colorado, mainly in the Greeley area, but I have found myself in a variety of places throughout my life, including Texas, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. Moving a lot as a child has inspired me to see the world, and traveling has become one of my all time favorite hobbies. England, Hungary, and the Czech Republic are among my favorite destinations!

Aside from teaching and traveling, I also enjoy hiking (I plan on climbing all 58 14ers in Colorado), music (heavy metal is my favorite genre!), soccer (Go England!! Go Everton!!) and hanging out with my American Eskimo dog, Bear!
