Biography

​I hold an associate’s degree in Pre-Veterinary Medicine, a bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology, and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I have been teaching for 17 years, with this being my 15th year at Eagle Ridge Academy. This year, I am excited to be teaching Physics, Oceanography, and Sex Education.

Outside of school, I love scuba diving, camping, and pretty much anything that gets me on or near the ocean. Whenever I visit the West Coast, I can never get enough halibut, salmon, or crab! I’m hoping to take a cruise sometime in the next year, and one of the biggest items on my bucket list is scuba diving the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. I have also spent 30+ years coaching multiple sports for Special Olympics in WA and CO.  I have coached swimming, soccer, bocce, golf, and softball.  I even took my 2018 Brighton High School Unified team to Nationals in Seattle, where we won a silver medal.  I currently coach for Thornton AIR Soccer.
