Dahlia Hertz
Biography
I have been teaching high school English at ERA since 2013 and strive to create a classroom where students feel comfortable asking questions, sharing their ideas, taking risks, and improving their communication skills. Outside of the classroom, I am the Link Crew Sponsor, where I get to work with students as they develop leadership skills and help make our school a welcoming place for everyone. I’m also the Assistant Director of Drama, which gives me another opportunity to work with students through creativity, teamwork, and performance. This role also allows me to incorporate my background in dance into my work with students—be sure to visit my classroom to find a fun point of interest connected to my dance background! I truly enjoy being involved in the many different parts of our school community, and I feel very fortunate to get to work with so many amazing staff, students, and families each year. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English from Metropolitan State University of Denver and a Master of Arts in Teaching in English Education from the University of Northern Colorado
